Radisson Blu Resort, Malta St. Julian's

The hotel staff were very attentive and polite. The breakfast was excellant with lot's of choice. We loved the choice of pools and we could always find a free sunbed at anytime of day. The Hotel exceeded our expectations. We downloaded the Bolt app which was very handy. We went to Sliema in the afternoon one day and Valleta the day after by ferry which was cheap. Both were interesting and scenic. We discovered late on that we could use the hotel next door by an adjoining gate that opens at 5pm.

First of all, they upgraded us to a Jr Suite, maybe because they weren't very full? It was really lovely but in need of some repair. The floor had a distinct bubble in the wood, the magnified light-up mirror in the bathroom had one light bar out (it's LED, so it needs replacement, not repair), and it wouldn't stay pointed toward the face - it always faces the floor. But instead of a regular city view (which right now would be a construction view, as the Hard Rock Hotel complex is a massive complex being built just uphill, we got a beautiful pool and ocean view balcony. The bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast is comprehensive, complete with an omelette chef. The staff were all great.

It had great facilities, we booked a suite and got an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite which was fantastic. We had full sun on the balcony all day. Beware that not all rooms get sun, even the bigger rooms as some have large overhangs. Staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. It’s near bus stops and was easy to walk to the next few bays/towns and it’s near a great safe place to swim off the rocks. Pembroke bay.

The staff are fabulous, friendly, attentive and well trained, they make the experience feel very 5 star from the reception team to the breakfast to the cleaners. The 'Edge' area of the resort has 3 pools which are all facing the sea and in full sunshine all day versus the one next to the hotel which does become shady in parts. The Bridge bar which also serves lunch, alcohol and snacks is a great adddition as you can sit inside or out depending on the changeable april weather. It's out of the way of the mad crowds of Valetta and St julian with their narrow streets and lots of hills.

Awesome facilities, pools well kept and clean. Staff polite, especially breakfast staff, very helpful and friendly. Hotel guests very well treated. Breakfast for kids is a splendid idea, however the choice of items...sweet corn and jelly babies a bit less. Being breakfast chicken sausages, cereal options, scrambled eggs...might be better ideas than chocolate and sweets.
